Currently looking to fill the position of a Lead Process Technician who will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing injection molding processes within the manufacturing facility. This position involves a combination of hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the production of high-quality plastic components.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize injection molding processes for efficiency, quality, and output.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to injection molding equipment, tooling, and processes to minimize downtime.
  • Tool Changes and Setups: Perform tool changes, mold setups, and machine adjustments to meet production requirements and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures, ensuring products meet or exceed specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor junior technicians on injection molding processes, machine operation, and safety protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of machine settings, process parameters, and production metrics. Update and document standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless production processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to safety guidelines and protocols. Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency. Implement changes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform routine maintenance on injection molding machines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in injection molding processes is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Injection Molding Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machinery, tooling, and materials.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to injection molding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced production environment.

Primarily a morning shift position, will need to work other shifts as required to support production demands.

This is a Temporary position with the opportunity to convert to a full time placement with the client.
