
General Manager
The Applied Companies is partnering with a Nevada-owned contractor to recruit a General Manager for its Northern Nevada operations. What the General Manager will do:
- Manage the Reno company facility, fleet and administrative personnel.
- Serve as the customer relations representative.
- Manage all phases of construction on projects.
- Coordinate with subcontracted Trades/Contractors.
- Manage project schedules.
- Coordinate and implement change orders.
- Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs.
- Manage project budget and site expenses.
- Oversee contract administration.
- Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.
- Provide general oversight and implementation of quality control.
- Assemble and maintain complete project records and close out documents.
- Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors.
What the General Manager needs to have:
- Solid communication skills in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to multi-task and to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Primavera, AutoCad (Not Required) and any project required software.
- Ability to read plans including BIM drawings.
- Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success.
- OSHA 10 knowledge and general knowledge of EH&S regulations.
Work Locations: Throughout Northern Nevada and in-office in Reno, NV
