The Applied Companies is assisting a valued client with hiring a Temporary Material Handler who will be responsible for moving materials, supplies, components to designated areas within the facility and picking/packing of orders. They will also organize and wraps skids, load out bound and unload inbound shipments, and receive purchase orders and distribution orders.

What the Material Handler Will Do: 

• Fulfilling pick tickets and getting parts to proper location in a timely manner
• Operating, loading/unloading trucks
• Ability to identify, label parts and ensure quantity of parts to be shipped
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to use counting scale
• Ability to follow up on pick tickets
• Ability to learn and retain general knowledge of quantification of parts along with when and where they go
• Inform Supervisor of any issues with operation or quality
• Maintain a clean workstation and facility
• Must wear proper PPE if required at all times and conform to all safety rules and regulations
• Perform other tasks asked by Management

What Material Handler Needs to Have:

• Must have shipping/receiving experience
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to lift/push/pull minimal of 40 lbs.
• Must have basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
• Must have handheld power tool experience
• Previous forklift experience preferred
