
Maintenance Interns - Part Time

TAC is assisting a valued client with finding entry level engineers working towards their degree and looking for experience. The Maintenance Engineer Intern will be assisting the maintenance lead on day-to-day duties as described below. Team members will be involved in using basic quality tools, management tools, analysis and presentation of data. They will gain knowledge of customer, end user, or regulatory body needs and help to ensure those needs are met by the organization.
What the Maintenance Engineer Intern will do:
- Coordinate & purchase components to perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work ticket tasks
- Coordinate & purchase components to perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work ticket tasks
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (6S)
- Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures (6S) i.e. production floor, maintenance office and warehouse as needed
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and supplies
- Purchase MRO supplies and negotiate with various vendors
- Using the computerized maintenance management system, input and coordinate stores/vendors, work orders, spare parts inventories, etc.
- Organize & coordinate spare parts inventories
- Process work orders and assign them
- Assist Maintenance Lead with day-to-day duties.
What the Maintenance Engineer Intern Needs to Have:
- Must be working towards a BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or anything in automotive.
- Problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- MS Office experience
Pay Rate dependent on school year completed.
Hours:
Monday-Wednesday 8am - 4pm OR Friday-Sunday 8am-4pm
